Grandma Mynoa

ReplyDeleteThat is a spectacular sketch. And I'm happy to see you've entered the blogosphere. I can't wait for the next pieces to pop up. Those lunchtime studies are fun, but I have to admit that my eyes keep trying to bring them into focus and just can't seem to get there. :-) I guess I'll have to fill in the details with my imagination.

They are really nice, and glad I checked out your art. Really beautiful stuff. I'd love to pick your brain or watch you paint when you make it back out this way sometime.

And the quick lunchtime studies definitely work better when viewed at a distance (for a variety of reasons:)... Jason, do you work for Avalanche? Have you enjoyed Disney? That's great, I'm amazed at what you animators can do. I'm so glad you enjoyed the barn, and would love to chat anytime!
ReplyDeleteDavid, yes Im working at Avalanche. It's been really great so far. Getting to work on some fun stuff. It sounds like you may know some others here as well. There is a ton of really talented painters here as well. Ive always wanted to get into it, but not sure where to start. Just pick up the paint and go? There are so many different techniques. I use to watch Bob Ross in amazement. haha Made it look so easy. It would be great to chat sometime. Let me know what works for you. :D

ReplyDeleteDoing Family History research, I stumbled onto the name Mynoa Anderson, as being the mother of my Uncle Max's wife, Tressa. Curious, I did a Google search for the name and found your vignette. I sent my cousin Troy (Tressa's son) a copy of the link, and he confirmed that your vigette is definitely of his maternal grandmother.
We are both now interested in finding the article you mentioned was to be published about her. I've emailed the contact-us email of the "Seeing the Every Day" magazine, but have yet to receive a reply. Would you happen to know of a link to the article?
