The trailer for Blue Sky's new film 'Epic' debuted today on Good Morning America, and we're all very excited about it. The Blue Sky crew is a pretty tough crowd to impress, even our own trailers usually get a mixed applause when we screen in-house, but this morning when it was screened in a large group meeting, there was some of the strongest positive reaction that I've seen from the crew ever. Mike Lee did the color keys for most of these shots here, and they're beautiful. I did the key for the last shot of the two soldiers and slugs, as well as working on the patterning for the armor.

And of course, don't forget to go see Ice Age: Continental Drift this summer! The Epic trailer will debut before the movie as well, which will be great.

Cool Dave. Looks very nice. I can't wait to see the movie. I think by then Audrey will be excited about these types of films too, so it will be fun to take her. I'm sure you've got a lot of deadlines and work to do on this between now and then, so best of luck!

ReplyDeleteYesterday, BJ & I went to see the Ice Age-Continental Drift with Adam & Xan's kids. Well done. We also saw the trailer for "Epic", and we are looking forward to seeing that one too.
It is always fun to see your name in the credits. We were also surprised to see credits for "Blue Sky Babies" with the name Philo Dibble. Nice!

BJ, so glad that you saw Ice Age! And yes, we were excited to put Philo's name in there, I'm very impressed that you stayed that late into the credits! I'm guessing the theater was pretty empty by that point:)
