Dad's milk shed

I painted up at the farm last week and did this piece of the old milk shed that dad rebuilt a few years ago.  It now houses tools instead of milk, but he did a great job with it. The pale yellow was a nice choice and plays well against the red barn it faces. I really enjoyed trying to capture the warm and cool shadow interplay. Enjoy.

  3. David,
You never cease to please my memory. This is as close to my recollection as anything could be. Thanks to you and to Cleve. We played in that milk house. The door was on the east at the time...for milk can pickup by the dairies. It had a rectangular cement tank and the flowing well came in and out, and we wanted it to be our swimming pool, but it was always too cold, so we just floated peeled milkweed pods and pretended they were fish! The water was cold and sweet.
